Title: The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman
Author: Ernest Gaines
Medium: Audiobook
Genre: Fiction

A lot goes on in The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, the book, while fiction gives a true to history recount of just before the emancipation proclamation of 1863 until the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s. Jane starts out as a slave named Ticey who doesn’t know if she’s ten or eleven years old. When freedom comes she and a young orphan slave named Ned start out on a long journey to Ohio and the freedom that lays before them.

But freedom is hard to come by, and not to make light of the situation I’ve decided to let Mr. Mackey from South Park finish this post for me.
